2016OMF Orchestra Concert Program A - Program Change Announcement
The original program of the 2016OMF Orchestra Concert Program A - Brahms: Symphony No.4 scheduled for Aug 18 and 22, has been changed due to the physical precautions of the conductor.
The OMF director Seiji Ozawa, encountering the weight loss in late April this year, has been working on regaining his physical strength over past few months. Since he is still working on his full recovery, following advice from his doctors, the OMF has decided to change the program of this year's Orchestra Concert. Instead of Brahms: Symphony No.4, Seiji Ozawa will be conducting Beethoven: Symphony No.7.
We sincerely apologize for all the trouble this change may cause and truly appreciate your understanding regarding this matter.

Program change: Beethoven: Symphony No.7 in A major Op.92

Additional note: The OMF Director Seiji Ozawa and Saito Kinen Orchestra has performed Beethoven: Symphony No.7 for the first time in 1993. This will be their second performance after 23 years（※The Saito Kinen Orchestra performed the same piece with the conductor Kazuki Yamada in 2010).
